A Day on the Water

Experience the thrill of fly fishing in a focused 5 to 6 - hour float on a shorter stretch of the Bow River. During your half-day float, you’ll have the opportunity to fish, practice techniques, and enjoy the river without the full-day commitment.

Our knowledgeable guides are there throughout the trip to share tips, offer advice, and provide hands-on instruction to help improve your casting, reading the water, and overall fishing strategy.

You’ll fish actively along select areas of the river, making the most of your time on the water, while enjoying the camaraderie, laughter, and shared excitement with our guides. We’ll pause for lunch and refreshments midway through the trip, with snacks and drinks available throughout the day.

By the end of the trip, you’ll leave with a rewarding experience, new skills, and memories from a fun, action-packed half-day on the Bow River.

What we Supply

• Transportation, to and from agreed meeting spot

• Lunch consisting of sandwiches, snacks and non alcoholic beverages (waters, soda waters and pop)

• Flies (dry flies, nymphs and streamers)

• Tippet, leaders and other tackle

• Rods and reels (always will have extra)

What you Bring

• Clothing and Accessories

  • Waders, quick drying pants or shorts, depending on the weather or any other pants you don’t mind getting wet

  • T-shirt, hoodie, long sleeve and/or raincoat/jacket, depending on the weather

  • Wading boots, sandals or other shoes to get wet

  • Sunglasses, hat and sunscreen

• Rods and Reels

  • (5wt-6wt with a floating line optional 7wt-8wt with sink tip line for streamer fishing)

  • We can make most set ups work!

  • Snacks if you feel you want more or to just bring your own

  • Valid Alberta Fishing Licence
