Why This Trip Is Perfect for Beginners
This trip is built for anyone who wants to get into fly fishing without the stress or guesswork. You don’t have to worry about choosing the right fly, tying knots, or trying to figure out where the fish are — your guide handles all of that for you.
You’ll learn at your own pace, cast as much as you want, and enjoy the day without pressure. Our guides are extremely knowledgeable and can answer almost any question you throw at them, giving you the chance to learn as much as you want throughout the day.
By the end of the trip, our goal is to get you confident and willing to go out on your own and be successful.
No experience needed, no confusing steps — just a fun, relaxed introduction to the sport with everything set up for you. It’s the easiest and most enjoyable way to start fly fishing.
A Day on the Water
Your day starts with about an hour of hands-on casting lessons, where you’ll learn the fundamentals — how to properly hold the rod, cast effectively, drift a fly, and use the techniques that set you up for success. This is your time to practice, ask questions, and get comfortable with the basics.
Once you’ve got the essentials down, we’ll load up the boat and head out for a little under a half-day float (about 5 hours). This is where you’ll put your new skills into action. Your guide will handle all the setup, choose the right flies, and put you in productive water, giving you the best chance to catch fish while still learning.
Along the way, we’ll stop for lunch, with snacks and drinks available throughout the trip. The focus is on making the experience fun, stress-free, and educational — our goal is to leave you confident and ready to fish on your own successfully.
